This lovely september sunday morning  i woke early and  decided to go downstairs and watch the leinster vs cardiff blues match replay ,only to find out it does not begin until later.I flicked through every digital channel looking for something else to watch when i glanced over to my laptop and suddenly i thought of larry and les.
I logged onto the tribute site immediatley wondering who may have left some tributes since the last time i had a sconce.(look)

I am still trying to get the lump from my throat and recover after reading all the fantastic, honest, and from the heart things that all those who have written in have said about larry.When talking to larry people felt so comfortable in his presence they felt they could talk to him about anything.

You feel you are directly connected to larry when you go through the site and especially when you write a testimonial.It is amazing to see the photos of merrick and how much les has had to cope with and come through  with those three amazing children.I am very proud to know you les.

Anybody who thinks they are having a hard time at the moment at work or in their family lives or indeed anything that is dragging them down should take inspiration from lesley and the faith she possesses.

Just heading to mass now will light a candle for you and all

Can't believe it's been 2 years since that tearful phone call in the middle of the night. We miss you Larry. Les and the kids miss you. I just wanted you to know how amazing Les is, which I know you already know. She is so inspiring to me to watch her every day with those adorable, crazy and funny kids of yours. It's so nice to see them thrive and smile and laugh again. Troy is so handsome with those long lashes and what a help he is to Lesley. He is quiet and intuitive to everything that goes on around him. Crazy Hannah is entertains all between her singing and dancing ( such a ham) you can't help by smile and envy her spirit! Finally you have Dylan, who is so smart and witty. The things that come out of his mouth are way beyond his years,,,,,and I have to thank Trevor for his wig that he wears at the beach.....ah Larry , I know you  must be laughing in heaven. I just want you to know how much better they are doing. They talk about you all the time. Dad is always mentioned in their words. Find peace in knowing that Lesley is remarkable and she is doing ok....she is greatly loved by her extended family and we are keeing a watchful eye out for them. Cheers to you Larry- I wish we had had more time together. I read the wonderful words that your friends write about you,like Ray and I realize over and over again how special you are and how you touched so many people. Cheers to you Larry!

I wrote this for Clodagh and Ray's wedding, Larry was away at the time so the 7th and 8th line referred to Lar, but in reflection, the whole feckin' poem refers to him.Thanks for being my friend Larry, I miss you daily and those old CGN's of yours. At least now you are in a position to find out which one of us was right in the "Bible" debate... let me know.  fuz x
